Issue Position

The well-being of the citizens of my district and of the State is first and foremost my prime concern. Like you, I would rather not have to worry about being safe in my own home or neighborhood, and I will continue to search for the best ways to protect our communities.

I am proud to have co-sponsored bills that:

. Increase penalties for home invasions
. Increase penalties for crimes committed against persons 62 years of age or older
. Increase punishments for child abuse, school teen dating violence, and sexual assault
. Increase penalties for failing to report a missing child
. Develop a statewide policy on cyber-bullying
. Outlaw Bath Salts and other designer drugs
. Protect emergency responders and the volunteers who work to keep us safe

I will continue to work hard to do everything I possibly can to make sure that our district and our communities are safe and well-protected.
